TAT Increase

The Hawaii state legislature voted to overturn Governor Lingle's veto of several tax bills, including an increase in the TAT (Transient Accommodations Tax). As of July 1, 2009, the TAT on hotel rooms will increase by 1% to 8.25%. The bill provides for another 1% increase on July 1, 2010.
